Objective: The student will develop the social studies skills responsible citizenship requires, including the ability to formulate an informed, carefully reasoned position on a community issue; and select and defend positions in writing, discussion, and debate.
Students will be able to:
-Compare well-organized supporting arguments with poorly-organized ones.
-Deconstruct a well-organized argument.
-Develop main and supporting arguments.
-Use a graphic organizer to organize their argument
Homework: Voter Registration Application, and Complete T-Shirt Idea Web

2. Journal Quick Notes: Separation of Powers, Checks and Balances, Federalism
2. We will continue the www.icivics.org lesson plan we began on Friday - "No Rambling Allowed."
