Good question.  I guess it depends on who you're asking.

I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2000 and moved to Los Angeles shortly thereafter to pursue a career in filmmaking.  I'm still a filmmaker, but love to teach.  When I can, I'm known to bring the two together.

 

Prior to teaching I had a wide variety of management positions in manufacturing, healthcare, and retail.  This has given me a working knowledge of economics to teach from.

I love Virginia and many times in my heart I have claimed that Virginia is the Hollywood of American history:  Williamsburg,  Monticello,  Mount Vernon,  and D.C. in our backyard.  As Virginians and Americans we have a lot to be proud of.
