In this unit we will be learning about the political process.  You will learn about the similarities and differences between political parties as well as their function in the political process.  You will learn about the strategies political parties use in influencing the electorate as well as the role the mass media plays in helping them acheive that goal.  You will learn about the cost of campaigning and the challenges those costs bring to representative government.  Finally, you will learn about the Electoral College, and voter registration and participation.
